About the position

The Enterprise Account Executive role at MongoDB is focused on driving new business acquisition and revenue growth within an assigned territory. This position requires a proactive approach to identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities, specifically targeting new customer accounts. The role emphasizes building strong relationships with key stakeholders and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize deal sizes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and close a sales pipeline focused on net new logos.
  • Prospect strategically into CTOs, Engineering/IT Leaders, and technical end users.
  • Build strong and effective relationships to create growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Solution Architects and Professional Services to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with enterprise ecosystem partner sales and channel partners to maximize deal sizes.
  • Participate in sales enablement trainings, including comprehensive Sales Bootcamp and leadership development programs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of quota-carrying field experience in a competitive market with a focus on closing new accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and manage a complex sales process.
  • Proven track record of overachievement in hitting sales targets.
  • Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology.
  • Skilled in building business champions.
  • Fluent in English and must reside in the territory.
  • Driven and competitive with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g., MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales).
  • Familiarity with databases, development, and open source technology is a plus.
