About the position

The Enterprise Account Executive is responsible for cultivating new relationships with small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprise clients across various verticals to develop and close new revenue opportunities for Uniti. This role involves both new customer acquisition and managing existing accounts within the assigned territory, focusing on the company's fiber network builds.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close sales with new customers in the assigned territory.
  • Conduct strategic cold calling and engage in business development activities to achieve revenue targets.
  • Perform telecommunications and data infrastructure needs assessments for customers.
  • Develop, present, and follow up on written proposals based on customer needs.
  • Forecast and report sales activity and opportunities accurately and timely.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and company personnel during the service activation process.
  • Process contracts and sales orders for new or upgraded services.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects and financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Work flexible hours and travel as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of successful sales experience in telecom, data communications, or ISP environments.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience in creating and presenting compelling sales proposals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Salesforce and CRM software platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications technology, including fiber optics and VoIP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in networking events and tradeshows.
  • Knowledge of new and emerging telecommunications technologies.
