About the position

The Enterprise Account Executive is a pivotal role within the Sales department, primarily focused on cultivating new relationships with Small to Medium Businesses (SMB) and Enterprise clients across various verticals. This position is essential for developing and closing new revenue opportunities for the Company. The Enterprise Account Executive will also manage existing accounts within the assigned region, ensuring that both new and current clients receive exceptional service and support. In this role, the Executive will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing sales with new customers located in or near Uniti's existing or planned fiber network builds. This involves consistent strategic cold calling, engaging prospects, and conducting business development activities that lead to a meaningful volume of in-person appointments each week or month. Achieving assigned revenue targets is a critical expectation of this position. The Enterprise Account Executive will conduct thorough assessments of customer telecommunications and data infrastructure needs, identifying suitable solutions and developing, presenting, and following up on written proposals. Timely and accurate forecasting and reporting of sales activities and opportunities are also essential components of the role. Acting as a liaison between customers and Company personnel during the design, construction, installation, and service activation processes is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and project success. Additionally, the Executive will process contracts and sales orders for new or upgraded services and may be involved in ad hoc projects and financial analysis to support key business decisions. Flexibility in working hours and travel is required to meet the demands of the role and the needs of the clients.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close sales with new customers in the assigned territory.
  • Engage in strategic cold calling and business development to achieve assigned revenue targets.
  • Conduct customer telecommunications and data infrastructure needs assessments.
  • Develop, present, and follow up on written proposals based on customer needs.
  • Forecast and report sales activity and opportunities accurately and timely.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and Company personnel during project processes.
  • Process contracts and sales orders for new or upgraded services.
  • Support key business decisions and projects through ad hoc projects and financial analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of successful sales experience in telecom, data communications, or ISP environments.
  • Working knowledge of data and telecommunication industry and terminology.
  • Proven track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas.
  • Experience in creating and presenting compelling written sales proposals.
  • Willingness to represent the Company at networking events and tradeshows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software platforms is a plus.
  • Self-starter driven to achieve revenue targets through cold calling and market development.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with new telecommunications technology, including fiber optics and VoIP.
  • Highly proactive, responsible, and a team player with strong business ethics.

  • Experience in networking and marketing in target markets.
