About the position

The Enterprise Account Executive is responsible for cultivating new relationships with small to medium-sized businesses (SMB) and enterprise clients across various verticals to develop and close new revenue opportunities for Uniti. This role involves both new customer acquisition and managing existing accounts within the assigned territory, focusing on sales activities that align with the company's fiber network builds.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close sales with new customers in the assigned territory.
  • Conduct strategic cold calling, prospect engagement, and business development with a significant volume of in-person appointments.
  • Perform telecommunications and data infrastructure needs assessments for customers.
  • Develop, present, and follow up on written proposals based on customer needs.
  • Forecast and report sales activity and opportunities accurately and timely.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and company personnel during the design, construction, installation, and service activation process.
  • Process contracts and sales orders for new or upgraded services.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects and financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of successful sales experience in telecom, data communications, or ISP environments.
  • Working knowledge of the data and telecommunications industry and terminology.
  • Proven track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas.
  • Experience in creating and presenting compelling written sales proposals.
  • Willingness to represent the company at networking events and tradeshows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software platforms is a plus.
  • Self-starter with a drive to achieve revenue targets through cold calling and market development.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with new telecommunications technologies, including fiber optics and VoIP.
