About the position

The Enterprise Application Integration Engineer will play a crucial role in the Florida Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (PALM) project, which aims to modernize the State of Florida's financial systems. This position involves analyzing current integrations, migrating them to Informatica, and mentoring staff on best practices for data integration. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with regulations, as well as the development of comprehensive testing plans for integration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current integrations leveraged by the financial systems and create a migration plan to Informatica.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy data integration solutions focusing on financial data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand financial data requirements and develop financial data models.
• Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate data integration tools and technologies.
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data integration solutions.
• Mentor current staff on best practices for leveraging Informatica tools.
• Create documentation for financial data integration processes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members to ensure successful implementation of financial data integration projects.
• Participate in SCRUM meetings including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in systems integrations and/or ETL (extract, transform, and load).
• Experience with integration tools such as Informatica and Microsoft SSIS.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with ETL processes.
• Experience working with flat file integrations and knowledge of FTP and SFTP.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data encryption.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience with Oracle Datawarehouse.
• Knowledge of mainframe programming languages and financial systems such as ERP.
• Experience with WebFOCUS.
