About the position

The Enterprise Applications Engineer at Azusa Pacific University is responsible for managing and enhancing the PeopleSoft platform, focusing on integrating critical modules such as Time & Labor, Benefits, Payroll, and Expenses. This role requires extensive expertise in PeopleSoft systems, particularly within the higher education sector, to ensure that the platform meets institutional needs and adheres to best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and continuous enhancement of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, HCM, and Financials modules.
  • Setup, configure, deploy, and oversee the roll-out of PeopleSoft modules, transitioning from external SaaS solutions to internal functionalities.
  • Collaborate with academic leaders, HR, Payroll, Financials, IT, and academic administration teams to ensure the PeopleSoft platform meets institutional needs.
  • Resolve complex issues within the PeopleSoft environment to maintain stable operations across integrated systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest PeopleSoft developments and apply innovative features to enhance system capabilities.
  • Act as the principal technical expert for PeopleSoft, driving system improvements and advising on best practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and IT personnel involved in PeopleSoft activities.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all PeopleSoft configurations and ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • Three plus years of in-depth PeopleSoft knowledge, particularly in HCM, Financials, and Campus Solutions.
  • Technical proficiency in PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, and SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and oversee PeopleSoft solutions for the higher education sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Experience with relevant data security and privacy regulations.
  • Knowledge of integrating PeopleSoft with other enterprise systems.
  • Required experience with higher education practices, including FERPA and HIPAA.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
