The Enterprise Architect (Portfolio Management) at Fisher Investments plays a crucial role in shaping the enterprise architecture environment, focusing on the architecture and design of cloud platforms to support the Portfolio Management Group. This position is essential for running a large wealth management firm with a global presence. The architect will be responsible for planning portions of the enterprise architecture, developing architectural principles and standards, and ensuring that technology aligns with the firm's needs. As a technical expert, the Enterprise Architect will collaborate with internal technology teams, partners, third-party vendors, and implementation partners to build a technology transformation program and create multi-year roadmaps that align with Fisher's priorities. In this role, the architect will define and oversee adherence to enterprise architecture principles and standards across applications, infrastructure, and information security. They will lead the selection of important platforms, products, and vendors for programs across the enterprise, ensuring that the architecture of applications and systems, particularly cloud-based data and integration architecture for portfolio management, meets enterprise needs. The architect will also survey the technology landscape to identify systems and solutions that align with the firm's strategy, collaborating with executive leadership to recommend and implement appropriate technology solutions. The Enterprise Architect will function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to various teams, facilitating the optimization of current state architecture during the transformation to future state architecture. They will develop Proofs of Concept (POCs) to facilitate architectural decisions and provide guidance to implementation teams, supporting problem-solving with pragmatic architectures and implementation approaches. Tailoring presentations and conversations to the appropriate audience, whether business stakeholders, technical executives, or developers, is also a key aspect of this role.
