About the position

The Enterprise Architect position is a contractor role within the HHSC IT Administrative Applications team, focusing on the implementation of a Grants Management System using Salesforce. The role involves overseeing the technical roadmap of the GMS application, ensuring alignment with Salesforce best practices, and adopting a low-code approach where appropriate. The architect will also leverage third-party solutions to enhance the system's functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical roadmap of the Grants Management System application.
  • Ensure the solution aligns with Salesforce best practices.
  • Adopt a low-code approach where appropriate.
  • Leverage third-party solutions effectively.
  • Create required architecture views and document non-functional requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide implementation oversight.
  • Guide troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex system issues.
  • Manage and maintain Salesforce Orgs and their environments.
  • Implement and improve security policies and practices.

Requirements

  • Experience with Enterprise and Software engineering using recognized approaches such as SEI or TOGAF.
  • Experience as an Enterprise or Software Architect for systems implemented in Salesforce.
  • Experience integrating data, applications, services, and technologies into a Salesforce solution including MuleSoft.
  • Experience delivering low-code solutions that minimize customized code while meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience overseeing and providing guidance in troubleshooting complex problems related to system software and hardware.
  • Experience managing, maintaining, and overseeing the support of Salesforce Orgs and its environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Salesforce implementation and development, including writing Apex programming, Visualforce pages, and Apex triggers.
  • Knowledge in implementing solutions using configurations such as Flows, process builders, and workflow rules.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development Methodologies.
  • Experience in Cloud Architecture such as Azure or AWS.
