About the position

As an Enterprise Transition Planning (ETP) intermediate engineer at MITRE, you will play a crucial role in supporting federal sector customers in driving successful enterprise transformations. This position involves collaborating with US Government agencies to address complex challenges, focusing on enterprise operations, digital engineering, and change management. You will assist in shaping organizational visions, translating customer goals into actionable plans, and developing enterprise architecture artifacts to facilitate effective transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Support stakeholder discussions to shape the future organizational vision and define necessary changes in people, process, and technology.
  • Translate customer mission, vision, goals, and strategies into an organizational construct; develop a Concept of Operations (ConOps).
  • Analyze current operations against the future state vision and identify required changes across enterprise architecture levels.
  • Collaborate with government staff to align business capabilities and technologies with future state processes and structures.
  • Assist in prioritizing and sequencing organizational, business process, and technology changes; develop a roadmap for transition states and expected outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts and generate data-driven insights.
  • Contribute to department capability development in knowledge management and research efforts.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Business Management, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Proficiency in all forms of communication, including verbal, written, digital, and public speaking.
  • 2+ years working with office automation tools, specifically MS Office 365 suite.
  • Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US government security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience in systems analysis and integration, shared services, data modeling, software/system design, requirements analysis, and/or business process redesign.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (Zachman, TOGAF, DoDAF, etc.)
