About the position

The Enterprise Architect position at Infosys involves interfacing with key stakeholders and demonstrating technical proficiency across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. The role focuses on requirements elicitation, application architecture definition, and design, while delivering high-quality code and leading validation for testing and support activities. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.
  • Architect and implement solutions on cloud platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Lead initiatives to modernize legacy systems, ensuring they meet current and future business needs.
  • Utilize Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to build robust applications.
  • Implement containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for efficient deployment.
  • Integrate messaging systems like IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, and Solace into application architectures.
  • Design and manage databases, including Oracle and NoSQL databases.
  • Apply architectural principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles to ensure high-quality software design.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define system requirements and provide expert guidance on architectural solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 11 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 7 years of experience in Java enterprise application development and architecture.
  • Proficient in Java SE and Java EE.
  • Extensive experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native application development and deployment.
  • Proficient in using Docker for containerization.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with enterprise messaging systems like IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, and Solace.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases like Oracle.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Deep understanding of architectural principles and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in applying SOLID principles and other best practices in software design.
  • Proven experience in modernizing legacy systems and integrating new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of AI and ML technologies and their application in enterprise solutions.
