About the position

GovCIO is seeking an Enterprise Architect with an active Secret clearance to design and develop network and system architectures. This fully remote position is based in Sterling, Virginia, and focuses on creating innovative IT solutions that enhance government operations. The role involves leading the migration of applications to cloud environments and providing technical leadership across complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop network and system architectures, defining key capabilities and performance requirements.
• Define total systems design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with mission requirements.
• Develop network and system element architecture and design and interface definitions.
• Define network and system implementation approach and operational concept.
• Develop models and architectural guidelines for current and future network and system development.
• Ensure requirements are met and evaluate performance with customers.
• Engineer and architect enterprise IT systems and applications in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Lead migrations of applications and/or systems to the cloud (public, private, and hybrid).
• Manage and consolidate diverse user interfaces and architectures within an application portfolio.
• Provide detailed engineering and technical leadership to engineering staff involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks.
• Apply experience with Cloud Service Providers such as AWS and MS Azure, and with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, Maven, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts.

Requirements

• High School diploma with 10+ years of network architecture experience or commensurate experience.
• Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability.
