About the position

The Business Analyst will ensure the operational efficiency and excellence of an organization. This position will be responsible for supporting projects by capturing system/functional requirements, process requirements, designing, developing, and deploying technology solutions, documentation, and training to enhance and streamline various business unit functionality. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of JE Dunn.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and analyzes the project's business requirements and transfer the same knowledge to all teams involved in the successful completion of the project.
  • Identify and document the business processes to support the Enterprise Architecture workflow for processing company software requests, new custom projects and feature enhancements to existing applications.
  • Evaluates the data collected through task analysis, business process, surveys, and telemetry to build an application ROI (Return on Investment).
  • Provides suggestions to the impacted teams during the pilot phase of the deployment of solution to meet the client/department's business needs.
  • Prepares accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, user interface guides, functional specification documents, training, and process flow documentation to implement the solution/process needed.
  • Communicates effectively with external clients, internal JE Dunn teams and internal IT to deliver status updates/solutions/process's desired outcomes.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure clear communication and understanding.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Documents the acquired results of analysis and workflows as well as obtaining sign-off from the appropriate client.
  • Coordinates with groups on both rollout and ongoing operational excellence of solution/process for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manages any change requests related to the working project plans daily to meet the agreed deadlines.
  • Manages difficult or emotional customer situations promptly and efficiently.
  • Solicits and applies feedback to improve quality and service.
  • Seizes opportunities to increase growth in areas aligned with organizational goals by identifying opportunities for new business development.
  • Seeks out opportunities of improvement from all departments and performs analysis on what efforts would provide the most value.
  • Applies analyzed information to design effective and efficient workflows and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (Preferred)
  • 2+ years business analysis experience (Preferred)
  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
  • Communication skills, verbal and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Intermediate
  • Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources
  • Ability to solve complex problems quickly and effectively
