About the position

The Enterprise Business Analyst position at Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW) is a pivotal role that serves as an internal consultant across various business functions. This position is not focused on IT, applications, or data analysis; rather, it supports engagements that span all areas of the business. The primary responsibilities include eliciting business requirements, conducting essential research, documenting processes, mapping workflows, and providing improvement recommendations for various Enterprise Services programs, including Strategic Planning, Vendor Oversight, and the Project Management Office (PMO). To excel in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of five years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar capacity that involves developing business requirements and supporting documentation. Experience in a Program Management or PMO setting is essential, along with familiarity in grant management, compliance, and audit processes. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or a Business Analyst Certificate, is preferred. Candidates with experience in healthcare, particularly in Medicaid and Medicare, will be strongly considered. The role requires proficiency in various tools and frameworks, including the Balanced Scorecard Planning framework, predictive and adaptive management frameworks, Smartsheet for project and workflow management, and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, SharePoint, Visio). The Enterprise Business Analyst will also utilize Tableau for data visualization. The position demands strong analytical skills, the ability to present information clearly, and a commitment to CHPW's culture of quality and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Provide analyst support to Enterprise Program Managers and Project Managers for initiating, managing, and controlling programs and projects.
  • Work extensively within CHPW's Enterprise models and systems such as Balanced Scorecard Planning framework and Smartsheet project management.
  • Provide direct and independent consultation and analysis support to all areas of the company and at all leadership levels.
  • Develop and implement processes and tools such as charters, requirements documents, RFPs, and process diagrams.
  • Develop information sources and communications to improve decision making within Enterprise Programs.
  • Present information, data, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to support effective decision making at all levels of the enterprise.
  • Contribute to CHPW's culture of Quality and Continuous Improvement.
  • Champion strong Equity, Governance, Quality and Community values in our culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role with responsibility for developing business requirements and supporting documentation.
  • Prior experience in a Program Management or Project Management Office (PMO) setting.
  • Experience in grant management, compliance, audit, or similar structured programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; or Business Analyst Certificate; or other formal training in requirements management, analysis, or project and program management preferred.
  • Prior experience with data visualization and workflow tools, such as Smartsheet.
  • Prior experience supporting health care strongly considered.
  • Experience in an internal or external consulting role strongly considered.
  • Medicaid, Medicare, and other health care industry experience strongly considered.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of industry-standard management processes such as Lean/Six-Sigma, SCRUM, Kanban, or others.
  • Experience with common business software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and SharePoint.
