About the position

The Enterprise Data Architect role focuses on designing, architecting, implementing, and supporting big data solutions in collaboration with development teams and customers. This position requires a strong technical background in cloud-based solutions, particularly in AWS, and involves leading major IT implementation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect big data solutions in collaboration with development teams and customers.
• Implement and support cloud-based solutions, ensuring technical design aligns with architecture requirements.
• Lead major IT implementation efforts as a chief architect.
• Manage operations of the Big Data stack, preferably in a cloud environment.
• Design and implement automation using scripts.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in architecting on-prem/cloud-based multi-user environments.
• 12+ years of cross-functional and technical experience in the IT industry.
• 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud services including Lambda, Step Function, Glue, DMS, S3, Snowflake, RDS PostgreSQL.
• 10 years of experience in Data Warehousing and BI solutions using Informatica with Oracle and SQL databases.
• Strong background in software engineering principles and techniques.
• Experience in web application technologies and middleware solutions.
• 2 years of experience managing operations of Big Data stack, preferably Cloudera in a Cloud Environment.
• Hands-on experience in Hadoop Ecosystem including HDFS, Hive, Yarn, Spark, Streamsets, Map-Reduce, Kafka.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with big data tools such as HBASE, Spark, Python, SpliceMachine, MongoDB, NoSQL based decision systems.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation.
