About the position

The Enterprise Data Architect at James Hardie Building Products, Inc. is responsible for executing the Integration Strategy within the company. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to design, develop, test, and implement interfaces between Enterprise Systems and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to meet business requirements effectively. The position requires a strong focus on data architecture, integration patterns, and cloud technologies, particularly Azure and SnowFlake.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Integration Strategy within the company.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement interfaces to/from various Enterprise Systems and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, system architects, and software architects to understand business requirements.
  • Develop and support an Informatica cloud environment utilizing IICS.
  • Design databases to support business applications, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
  • Provide business as usual (BAU) support for the existing environment by developing new programs and enhancements.
  • Develop methods for integrating different products to ensure proper functionality together.
  • Lead or participate in gathering business and integration requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business efficiency and automation using integration tools and strategies.
  • Participate in the creation and execution of the Integration strategy globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4 years of experience in Data Architecture or related fields.
  • 2 years of experience in a Senior or Lead IT role.
  • Strong SQL coding skills for data analysis and testing.
  • Deep understanding of and experience with implementing multiple design patterns for integrations in batch and real-time methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply correct architecture pattern/design to the appropriate business need.
  • Deep understanding of full life cycle development methodology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Data Strategy and Data Migration and Execution for the Cloud using Azure and SnowFlake.
  • Extensive knowledge of APIs, protocols, and communication methods related to application integration.
