About the position

The Enterprise Data Governance Analyst is a critical role within our organization, located onsite in City of Industry, CA. This position is high-impact and high-visibility, focusing on ensuring that all master data across the enterprise is accurate, complete, and consistent. The EDG Analyst will be responsible for driving the development of policies and procedures in collaboration with process owners and governance teams. This role involves conducting audits, performing detailed analyses, and recommending as well as implementing improvements to our data governance practices. In addition to these responsibilities, the EDG Analyst will support new product development projects, providing ongoing guidance throughout the master data lifecycle. This includes working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that data governance best practices are championed and adhered to across the organization. The successful candidate will be a driven and confident self-starter, capable of taking the initiative and fostering a team-oriented environment. The role requires effective collaboration with the Business Intelligence (BI) team, the extended IT team, and cross-functional data domain stakeholders. The EDG Analyst will need to possess strong project management skills, the ability to prioritize multiple projects, and the capability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our data and ensuring that it supports our business objectives effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all master data is accurate, complete, and consistent across the enterprise.
  • Drive the development of policies and procedures in collaboration with process owners and governance teams.
  • Conduct audits and perform analysis to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Support new product development projects and provide ongoing guidance throughout the master data lifecycle.
  • Collaborate effectively with the BI team, extended IT team, and cross-functional data domain stakeholders.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years' experience in data governance or a related area of expertise.
  • Strong project management leadership skills and ability to prioritize projects.
  • Ability to influence others and champion Data Governance best practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Driven and confident self-starter with initiative.
  • Matrix management skills to work with all levels of management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and/or core systems master data management.
  • Knowledge of item UOM conversions and attribute data.
  • Familiarity with UPC, GS1 data loads, and relevant industry knowledge.
  • Experience in process mapping and analysis.
  • Basic data analytics skills including data cleansing strategies, data mining, conversions, and delivery.
