About the position

Quorum Software is seeking a Director of Enterprise Data Warehouse and Architecture to lead the development of an enterprise data warehouse that will enable the company to produce real-time business insights. This pivotal role involves the formulation, implementation, and maintenance of a data warehouse strategy that meets the needs of various corporate clients, including finance, sales, marketing, and product teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management and experience working collaboratively with global business teams across multiple locations. Reporting to senior leadership, the Director will be responsible for creating and executing an organizational data strategy that aligns with business objectives. This includes designing data models, managing data warehouses and analytics systems, and identifying both internal and external data sources. The role also encompasses evaluating and implementing machine learning and AI-based data solutions, including natural language processing (NLP), while coordinating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the seamless operation of the enterprise data system. In this role, you will develop and implement a comprehensive organizational data strategy that aligns with business processes. This strategy will cover data architecture, model designs, database development standards, and the management of data warehouses and analytics systems. You will identify data sources, both internal and external, and devise a data management plan that aligns with the organizational data strategy. Additionally, you will evaluate and implement data solutions that leverage machine learning and AI technologies, including NLP. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors will be essential for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system. You will manage the end-to-end data architecture, from platform selection to technical architecture design, application development, testing, and implementation of proposed solutions. Furthermore, you will plan and execute big data solutions using various technologies and tools, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security while integrating technical functionality with other company systems. Continuous governance and auditing of the data management system's performance will be part of your responsibilities, along with building and managing a new team of data architects, data scientists, and data analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for smooth enterprise data system functioning.
  • Managing end-to-end data architecture, from platform selection to technical architecture design and implementation.
  • Planning and executing big data solutions using technologies and tools through data pipeline management to end-user visualization.
  • Integrating technical functionality with other company systems, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
  • Conducting continuous governance and audit of data management system performance and reporting any breaches or loopholes.
  • Building and managing a new team of data architects, data scientists, and data analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT management and leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of systems development, including system development life cycle, project management approaches, and design techniques.
  • Proficiency in data architecture, modeling and design, including SQL development and database administration.
  • Understanding of predictive modeling, NLP, text analysis, and Machine Learning.
  • Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies, as well as basics of columnar and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of a wide array of programming languages and data tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex IT issues.
  • International experience working with diverse cultures and time zones.
