About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Data Warehouse Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and maintaining data management solutions. This role is critical in analyzing the company's needs, designing and developing a comprehensive database management solution, and deploying effective data management software. The Enterprise Data Warehouse Architect will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our data infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure, enabling the organization to leverage data effectively for decision-making and operational efficiency. In this position, the architect will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing the existing data infrastructure to identify areas for improvement. They will meet with business users to determine objectives and requirements for designing dimensional data models that align with business goals. The architect will also develop automated scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data between systems, ensuring that data flows seamlessly across the organization. Additionally, the architect will design and implement data security and access control policies to protect sensitive information. They will provide cost and time estimates for work, implement solutions to store and manage data efficiently, and document and diagram architectural designs for future reference. Strong time management, attention to detail, and communication skills are essential, as the architect will need to interact with both technical and non-technical users. Monitoring and ensuring data integrity, system performance, and scalability of the data warehouse environment will also be key responsibilities, along with ensuring the coordination and communication of production changes.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze data infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar technical role.
  • Experience with database management systems, including SQL Server.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Distribution Industry preferred.
