About the position

Jostens is seeking an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Solution Architect to lead the development and optimization of our data warehouse architecture. This role is critical to ensuring our data environment supports business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs while maintaining security, governance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure data warehouse solutions to meet enterprise data needs.
  • Partner with business units, data scientists, and analysts to gather requirements and ensure the platform supports business intelligence, reporting, and analytics.
  • Design and implement robust ETL/ELT processes, data models, and pipelines for efficient and automated data flow across the organization.
  • Maintain architecture documentation and provide training and support for development teams as needed.
  • Establish quality assurance protocols to guarantee data accuracy and consistency across all processes.
  • Develop data governance frameworks and enforce security standards and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale EDW solutions using technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools (e.g., FiveTran, dbt, Pentaho, Apache Airflow) and strong knowledge of data modeling (star/snowflake schema) and SQL optimization.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to analyze and optimize data processes.
  • 8+ years of experience in data warehousing, data architecture, or solution architecture.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Data Lakes, Data Governance frameworks, and Master Data Management (MDM) concepts.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse architectures like dimensional modeling, Data Vault, Lambda, or Kappa.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R.
