Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and reliable database architectures that meet organizational needs.
  • Administer and optimize cloud-based databases on platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Manage and optimize ETL processes to ensure data integrity and efficient data flow between systems.
  • Continuously monitor and tune database systems to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.
  • Develop and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans for all databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain robust security controls for all databases, ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Work closely with IT, development teams, and business units to provide database solutions that support business intelligence and data analytics initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for database architectures, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of 8 years in database administration with a significant focus on architecture and cloud-based solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Tableau Server Administration.
  • Advanced skills in database design, data modeling to the 3rd normal form, and SQL Server maintenance.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for database management and architecture.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data protection regulations.
