About the position
The Enterprise GIS Project Manager at Kforce Inc is responsible for leading and coordinating technology projects related to the Enterprise Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This role requires a deep understanding of GIS and business processes to effectively develop and deliver a project portfolio. The position is crucial in a fast-paced, high-tech environment, focusing on delivering capabilities to enhance the Enterprise GIS.
Responsibilities
- Define business workflows and establish performance benchmarks for project requirements
- Oversee a variety of large-scale projects of high complexity
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
- Secure required resources and manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes using formal processes and tools
- Identify issues and challenges, measure and validate results, and implement solutions
- Provide expert information to internal and external clients on complex issues
- Create and communicate presentation materials for report outs and updates with various levels of stakeholders
- Conduct external research and stay abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the project
- Provide coaching, leadership, and direction to the project team
- Work closely with operations teammates and business partners to understand user functionality, pain points, and areas of improvement
- Assist with the delivery of special projects and small enhancements, and review and improve policies and procedures
- Review statistics, validate or challenge existing processes, and identify areas for improvements and efficiencies
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- PMP certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience in GIS is highly desired
