About the position

KPMG is seeking an Enterprise Data and Integration Architect to join their Chief Digital Officer organization. This remote position focuses on facilitating organizational change through the research and implementation of data and integration technologies. The role involves defining technical strategies, developing data and integration roadmaps, and providing architectural leadership to ensure efficient business operations and integration across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate organizational change by researching data and integration technologies and defining technical strategies.
  • Support the build of data and integration reference architectures and patterns.
  • Conduct research and participate in the development of data and integration roadmaps, including product selection and project milestones.
  • Communicate data and integration best practices through presentations and authored content.
  • Assist in evaluating business demands to determine appropriate data and integration technologies.
  • Provide solution-level technical design and architectural leadership, documenting logical, physical, and process views.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assist in the delivery of solution implementation.

Requirements

  • Minimum eight years of recent experience in information technology data and integration architecture supporting a SaaS and platform-centric strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Database Design Principles, Data Modeling, and Data Warehousing, including experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Deep knowledge of Enterprise Data Lake/Lakehouse and associated Integration tools, particularly Azure Data Lake.
  • Solid knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and Microservices best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with common system integration methods and technologies including web services, microservices, SOAP, JSON, and API gateways.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and CICD pipeline technologies for automated build and testing.
  • Strong ability to work with large datasets, including proficiency in data mining and predictive modeling.
