Enterprise Network Architect

About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled technical engineer or architect with extensive experience in developing and implementing architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domain-specific architecture concepts and emerging technologies, including infrastructure, network design, and application architectures. This role requires the ability to influence development teams and management in adopting technical solutions, as well as contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement architecture solutions.

• Lead direct and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience in a technical engineering and/or architecture role OR High school / GED and at least 11 years of experience in a technical engineering and/or architecture role.
• At least 6 years of experience developing and implementing architecture.
• Experience in domain-specific architecture concepts and emerging technologies.
• Experience in at least one of the following platforms, languages and/or related frameworks: Windows, Android, nix, Java, NodeJS (JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Experience in at least one of the following Cloud providers: Azure, GCP, AWS.
• At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
• At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
• Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes.

Nice-to-haves

• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS), network design methodologies, and best practices.
• Expertise in SDN (Software-Defined Networking), cloud networking, data center architectures, and network security.
• Proficient in network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers) and management functionality and tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Certifications such as Cisco CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
• Strong project management skills and experience with network lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid networking solutions.
