About the position

The Enterprise Onboarding Program Manager at Xcel Energy is responsible for developing and managing enterprise-wide programs focused on onboarding, employee development, and retention. This role involves strategy development, execution, and measurement of programs while embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion practices into all activities. The position aims to enhance the employee experience through innovative tools and systems, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and supporting their career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive program goals and provide project management support, including defining project plans and managing implementation activities.
  • Support a strong employee experience by leveraging innovative tools, systems, and approaches.
  • Lead, develop, and engage HR and business area resources for program execution.
  • Assess current programs and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create innovative, strategic solutions to onboard, develop, and retain employees that align with overall company and DEI strategies and objectives.
  • Deliver engaging content to support impactful employee experiences and participation in programs.
  • Engage and consult with various stakeholders to determine business and program needs.
  • Partner with other areas of HR to create meaningful employee experiences.
  • Create data-based measures to show outcomes of program efforts and identify success and gaps to determine if program adjustments are needed.
  • Manage and support program-related events.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding program, including new hire orientation and support for new managers.
  • Develop a standardized playbook to guide employee transitions, ensuring consistency and clarity across all departments.
  • Develop and oversee a mentoring program to support employee development and career growth.
  • Update and enhance Career Development Assignments for high-performing employees.
  • Act as integration lead with Enterprise Learning and Business Resource Group to ensure alignment and integration of initiatives.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in HR, Business, or related field (or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge)
  • 5 years of experience in talent management, program management, human resources, or related roles
  • 3 years of experience in process design, solution development, project management, and documentation
  • Prior talent programs management preferred.
