About the position

As an Enterprise & Operational Risk Manager at Capital Group, you will lead a team of risk professionals to identify and evaluate key operational risks and controls. This role is crucial for ensuring operational effectiveness, managing risks, and strengthening the control environment across the organization. You will provide expertise in enterprise and operational risk management, support organizational risk oversight, and manage large-scale projects related to risk visibility and control enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of risk management professionals to identify and evaluate operational risks and controls.
• Provide enterprise and operational risk management expertise for internal controls related to core operational business.
• Support organizational risk oversight and governance across business groups.
• Manage operational event response processes and partner with business areas to complete event reports.
• Lead risk reporting and communications to executive management and governance committees.
• Manage activities supporting a SOC 1 audit program and work with external auditors.
• Continuously review and evolve risk management frameworks in response to business and regulatory changes.
• Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, assigning work and managing performance.

Requirements

• Experience in enterprise and operational risk management and internal control techniques.
• Proven leadership experience managing a team of risk management or audit professionals.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage large-scale projects.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience with operational event response processes and SOX certification processes.

• Experience in asset management industry.
