About the position

Erias Ventures is seeking experienced engineers to analyze user requirements and develop system requirements specifications. The role involves leading design and development activities, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the technical integrity of work performed in the Systems Engineering area. The position requires interaction with government personnel and focuses on optimizing and automating processes across multiple platforms using modern tools.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user's requirements and develop system requirements specifications.
  • Lead design and development activities for system requirements.
  • Guide users in formulating requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develop technical documentation and system architecture documentation.
  • Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans.
  • Interact with government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems.
  • Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables in the Systems Engineering area.
  • Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications.
  • Drive consistency for deployment and build processes.

Requirements

  • Current Top-Secret/SCI with FS polygraph security clearance is required.
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with modern tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Linux.
  • Experience working with teams on large projects, preferably with AWS and familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, Python.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipeline setup and Agile software development practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS (S3, VPCs & Networking, EC2, ECS/EKS).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Cloud Formation).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
