About the position

The Hosting and Resiliency Enterprise Platform Architect will lead the strategic design and governance of IT architecture across various platforms, including on-premises data centers, Azure Cloud, and SaaS deployments. This role is crucial for modernizing the IT landscape and driving transformations through collaboration with infrastructure teams and business leaders. The architect will create roadmaps, establish reference architectures, and ensure that all architectural decisions prioritize security and data protection. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, focusing on innovation and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT architecture's strategic design and governance across technology platforms.
• Define and drive technology roadmaps and influence enterprise strategy.
• Develop standards, patterns, and decision frameworks for architectural practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level architects to foster next-generation IT talent.
• Design enterprise-level architecture solutions that are scalable and aligned with business strategies.
• Steer architecture governance to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and security.
• Define and manage architecture roadmaps for technology platforms.
• Provide strategic input on IT investments and portfolio management.
• Develop and maintain architecture standards and reference models.
• Create decision frameworks to guide the selection of appropriate patterns and standards.
• Develop implementation guides for the architecture community.
• Lead architectural governance to ensure adherence to security and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a culture of risk awareness and proactive mitigation.
• Stay updated on emerging technology trends and integrate them into the IT roadmap.
• Align architectural decisions with financial budgets and manage technical debt.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in IT architecture leadership and strategy development.
• Strong influence and decision-making skills in guiding IT transformations.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related fields; advanced certifications preferred.
• Experience providing technical guidance to development teams.
• Experience translating business requirements into architectural deliverables.

Nice-to-haves

• MSc in Computer Science/Information Management or a postgraduate degree.
• Experience with Agile Methodology and/or Scrum.
• Consultancy skills and Agile Architecture experience.
• Proficiency in ArchiMate Modeling and BiZZdesign EA Tool.
