About the position

The Enterprise PMO Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing projects to meet organizational objectives within specified timeframes, scopes, and budgets. This role involves developing project work plans, communication and risk management strategies, and conducting return on investment analyses. The Senior Project Manager collaborates with IT Services and various clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure successful project outcomes, including system implementations and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans and timelines to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Identify task statuses and highlight critical pathways and vulnerabilities.
  • Serve as a liaison among various stakeholders, including clinical and non-clinical departments and IT services.
  • Maintain an issues list for assigned projects and integrate resolution into solution design.
  • Create and review detailed current state workflow processes and implement alternative solutions as needed.
  • Develop communication plans for each initiative, including updates and status reports.
  • Assist in the development of templates and tools to improve project management organization-wide.
  • Mentor junior project managers and analysts in established project management techniques.

Requirements

  • MBA/MHA or equivalent in healthcare, information technology, or general business.
  • 5 years of related and progressive experience, preferably in healthcare and/or project management.
  • Strong project/program management skills and leadership attributes.
  • Ability to multi-task and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of project management, process redesign techniques, audit techniques, financial analysis, and change management.
  • Working knowledge of Visio, MS Project, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare project management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and standards as outlined by the Project Management Institute.
