About The Position
In this role, you will work with architects across the Product and Technology organization to support data architecture functions across Expedia Group. This includes developing scalable capabilities in partnership with engineering, platform teams, and other stakeholders to understand and drive the implementation of data capabilities across the ecosystem. You will be joining a small, nimble, and data-savvy architecture team that is focused on shaping the transformation of a travel technology company. Your responsibilities will include leveraging public cloud services, specifically AWS, to architect a robust data analytics ecosystem that supports and scales modernization efforts. You will adapt and modify existing technology solutions to design data platform solutions that promote data analytical adoption. Collaboration with cross-functional organizations, both in technology and business, will be essential to understand objectives and build solutions with a customer-first mindset. You will also leverage cutting-edge technology to build data products that empower end users and democratize data access. Additionally, you will be responsible for building next-generation data and platform architecture to simplify data consumption. Your ability to think outside the box will be crucial in providing innovative solutions to simplify the data analytics ecosystem. You will define and create detailed documentation for data architecture standards and patterns, help mentor junior resources within the team, and manage stakeholders through frequent communication, expectation management, and meeting deadlines.
