In this role, you will work with architects across the Product and Technology organization to support data architecture functions across Expedia Group. This includes developing scalable capabilities in partnership with engineering, platform teams, and other stakeholders to understand and drive the implementation of data capabilities across the ecosystem. You will be part of a small, nimble, and data-savvy architecture team that is shaping the transformation of a travel technology company. Your responsibilities will include leveraging public cloud services (AWS) to architect a robust data analytic ecosystem that supports and scales modernization efforts. You will adapt and modify existing technology solutions to design data platform solutions that promote data analytical adoption. Collaboration with cross-functional organizations, including Technology and Business, will be essential to understand objectives and build solutions with a customer-first mindset. You will leverage cutting-edge technology to build data products that empower end users to democratize data and build next-generation data and platform architecture to simplify data consumption. Additionally, you will be expected to think outside the box and provide innovative solutions to simplify the data analytics ecosystem. Defining and creating detailed documentation for data architecture standards and patterns will be part of your duties, as well as mentoring junior resources within the team on data architecture activities. Managing stakeholders through frequent communication, expectation management, meeting deadlines, and minimizing surprises will also be crucial to your success in this role.
