About the position

The Strategic Project Manager at U.S. Bank plays a vital role in overseeing and driving the successful initiation, execution, and closure of strategic programs across the bank. This position is responsible for aligning projects with organizational goals, developing comprehensive project plans, and ensuring efficient execution to support U.S. Bank's long-term strategic vision. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and requires a strong understanding of the business context to contribute effectively to enterprise strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise projects, leading multiple medium to large projects simultaneously.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project completion on time.
• Provide objective recommendations to create value, increase productivity, and improve business performance.
• Create and manage stakeholder updates, including executive-level presentations.
• Develop strong working relationships with business partners and subject matter experts.
• Track and evaluate performance against predefined KPIs, analyzing progress and identifying areas for improvement.
• Foster a collaborative environment and encourage team development.
• Organize and manage projects from inception to completion, addressing bottlenecks to ensure continuous progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Eight to ten years of experience in project management activities.

• Banking or financial services experience highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficient in managing simple SharePoint websites.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing managers and leaders.
