About the position

As an Enterprise Program Manager at BECU, you will lead strategic initiatives that drive the growth and success of the credit union. This role involves managing complex programs across multiple teams and departments, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering innovation within the organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, providing leadership and ensuring seamless execution of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and capture requirements by working closely with stakeholders and teams to gather and refine high-level requirements.
  • Partner on program governance with Tech Product Owners and Leadership to establish and evolve governance structures.
  • Define business outcomes for every project within the program and track their success upon completion.
  • Oversee program execution by leading the planning, execution, and closure of programs.
  • Lead multi-team implementations, managing and guiding the implementation of complex programs with multiple project teams.
  • Apply appropriate project methodologies, determining the best project management approach and acting as the point of escalation for project challenges.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation to ensure all program documentation meets regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Manage program finances by taking ownership of program financials and optimizing financial resources.
  • Coordinate resources and timelines by creating and managing detailed resource plans and schedules.
  • Engage with external vendors, managing contracts and ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines.
  • Oversee dependencies by identifying and managing project dependencies and ensuring clear communication across teams.
  • Solve challenges by proactively removing roadblocks and mitigating risks to keep the program on track.
  • Manage RaID (Risks, Issues, and Decisions) by ensuring that risks, issues, and decisions are properly managed and communicated.
  • Lead go-live and release plans, overseeing the creation of release plans and managing go-live activities.
  • Foster continuous improvement by leading initiatives to improve program delivery and technical processes.
  • Mentor and support teams by providing mentorship to newer project managers and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work/educational experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing programs and/or projects.
  • Experience in managing enterprise-wide and technology-driven programs.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience identifying and improving interdepartmental or enterprise processes, documentation, and engineering process flows.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience mentoring and influencing employees on responsibilities such as processes, approaches, and practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard project management software tools.
  • Professional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Project Management Certification).
  • Agile certifications or relevant education (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner).
  • Active involvement in professional organizations related to organizational change, technology management, program management, and community impact.
  • Experience leading teams, providing performance feedback, and managing workloads.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
