About the position

The Enterprise Project Manager or Senior is responsible for the delivery and coordination of semi-complex project-oriented work within the organization. This role involves planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure they meet established goals, timelines, and budgets while adhering to high-quality standards. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to align project objectives with business needs and to ensure compliance with project governance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Implement project management processes and methodologies for the assigned user community.
  • Drive the review of project proposals and plans, determining time frames and procedures for completing projects.
  • Understand both the technical and operational scope/objectives of a project while ensuring team commitment to the delivery plan.
  • Deliver project work in accordance with Synovus' Project Governance Framework.
  • Direct and monitor work efforts daily, identifying resource needs and monitoring demand and capacity constraints.
  • Perform routine quality reviews and escalate issues appropriately, following through to resolution.
  • Track key project milestones and adjust plans/resources as needed.
  • Prepare high-quality status reports in partnership with key stakeholders and business sponsors.
  • Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise impacting the project scope, budget, risk, and resources.
  • Execute project activities in alignment with business unit activities.
  • Coordinate requests for changes from original specifications and ensure proper change communication and impact analysis.
  • Work closely with end users and business technologists to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs.
  • Ensure projects follow established Synovus project governance standards and maintain preparedness for quality reviews and audits.
  • Assist other Project Managers and/or Business Analysts in identifying opportunities for utilizing resources effectively.
  • Drive project scheduling, resource allocation, forecasting, and project controls using standard project management tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of a broad mix of technical and non-technical work experience, including 2 or more years managing projects.
  • Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer relationships.
  • Advanced knowledge in project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
  • Knowledge of leveraging business applications for competitive advantage.
  • Knowledge of current technologies and the software development process.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project Professional.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all levels of management.
  • Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills.
