About the position

The Director, Enterprise Risk Data Layer Product Manager is a senior management role within Citi's Functions Technology, responsible for overseeing the development and management of the Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL). This position requires a blend of business acumen and technical knowledge to align product strategy with business objectives, manage a team of product management employees, and ensure the successful delivery of risk management technology solutions. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to drive product development, manage risks, and enhance the overall risk and controls environment at Citi.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day product management for core products including product delivery and client communication strategies.
• Manage the strategic program roadmap for the ERDL and lead the team through the product development lifecycle.
• Advocate for funding needed to meet capacity planning and proactively identify risks or issues impacting delivery.
• Identify technical risks and dependencies for the ERDL platform and drive mitigation paths.
• Define technical workstreams in the platform development project and identify necessary resources.
• Drive decision-making and solutions with scrum teams and business teams to meet commitments.
• Manage stakeholders from enterprise architecture, third-party vendors, and risk management organizations.
• Identify technology and user journey challenges that the ERDL must address.
• Collaborate with solution architects and data providers to create system architecture and data sourcing strategies.
• Drive solutioning and create the technical backlog based on business requirements, prioritizing based on complexity and dependencies.
• Ensure adherence to Operations and Technology standards on program delivery, compliance, and risk management.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years of managerial experience.
• Relevant experience in Risk Management, including regulatory remediation initiatives.
• Solid understanding of banking regulations and supervisory expectations for large financial institutions.
• Observable and impactful delivery track record on business or risk function transformation.
• Subject Matter Expertise in risk and controls disciplines within technology processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes.
• Strong communication skills to articulate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for building products that solve business problems.
• Extensive experience working with cross-functional partners in risk management and technology.
• Track record of managing senior internal relationships and leading change management efforts.
