About the position
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Coordinator at Tuskegee University plays a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, managing, and mitigating risks associated with the institution's operations. This position collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to align risk management strategies with the university's strategic goals, ensuring a safe and resilient campus community.
Responsibilities
- Develop ERM tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks.
- Create and ensure compliance of the University's risk management policies with applicable regulations and strategic goals.
- Provide training and awareness to the campus community on risk handling and mitigation.
- Investigate incidents that may result in financial or reputational losses.
- Maintain awareness of the legal, regulatory, and competitive environment affecting the insurance industry and higher education.
- Ensure all University insurance policies are current and claims are filed timely.
- Chair or provide key inputs into the University's enterprise risk committee overseeing the ERM process.
- Prepare an annual report for Trustees and University administration on compliance and risk management activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience implementing and leading risk programs.
- Demonstrated leadership and initiative in managing an effective risk management and compliance program.
