About the position

Rubrik is seeking Sales Engineers to provide technical direction and business guidance to the regional sales team. This role is crucial for achieving regional revenue goals by driving innovative technical programs and managing day-to-day account-level activities. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting and architecting Rubrik's hyper-converged hybrid cloud data management platform for enterprise customers in the Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and direction to customers and internal staff in developing integrated technology solutions for pre-sales activities.
• Assist in the analysis, design, and development of fully integrated technology solutions.
• Demonstrate technical leadership and expertise on Rubrik's products and competitive storage offerings.
• Act as a technical expert and consultant to propose solutions that meet customer technology and business requirements.
• Make technical and sales presentations to customers' technical staff and senior management.
• Build relationships with account teams, partners, and customers to support sales objectives.
• Lead technical sales calls and qualify sales opportunities based on customer requirements.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of sales engineering experience in a software or data center environment.
• Strong hands-on approach with a drive for success and high energy.
• Fundamental technical knowledge in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data analytics.
• High level of business acumen and experience working with CxO level personnel.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple calls and demos per day.
