About the position

The Enterprise Sales Manager (ESM) at Peterbilt of Michigan Inc. is responsible for driving market share expansion and enhancing profitability within a specific region. This role involves leading a customer-focused sales team, optimizing performance across various departments, and fostering strong industry relationships. The ESM will ensure the execution of company initiatives, uphold integrity, and create positive experiences for customers and employees alike.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a customer-focused sales team to drive market share expansion.
  • Oversee and optimize performance across departments including business development, new truck sales, used truck sales, rental and lease sales, and operations sales efforts.
  • Ensure all team members conduct themselves with integrity in alignment with company values.
  • Accountable for the performance and sales output across various service areas.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain associates capable of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to appraise employee performance and support training initiatives.
  • Evaluate opportunities to grow market share through geographic and product application strategies.
  • Communicate and manage relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Identify product requirements and competitive conditions within local markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of management experience is required.
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with various customers.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and focus on closing deals.
  • Intermediate computer skills and CRM software experience required.
  • Disciplined with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
