About the position

Peraton is seeking an Enterprise Services Engineer to join our dynamic team, supporting a robust, world-wide communications network. This role involves providing office automation packages, document and information management tools, as well as collaboration, voice, and video tools within a secure, flexible, distributed architecture that supports a classified Department of Defense (DoD) IT system. As an Enterprise Services Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering and integration activities that support enterprise computing, data storage, data transport, and system management services. In this position, you will provide critical service information, including capacity, availability, and health metrics, as well as system and device information, software and license consumption, user entitlements, component relationships, service inter-dependencies, compliance status, lab services, and support lifecycles. You will also produce and deliver Information Dashboard and Reporting Services Service Design Packages along with associated Design Artifacts. Your role will require you to identify holistic informational views of the production and connected enclave and/or lab environments and services, which will include both discoverable and non-discoverable information. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying solutions for presenting service information from existing enterprise data sources, including systems such as SharePoint metadata, application data fields, Active Directory, Exchange, databases, tools, APIs, and structured and semi-structured files. You will also need to identify extensible capabilities to accommodate future additional data sources and reporting for new service requirements, ensuring that our systems remain efficient and effective in meeting the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Support a robust, world-wide communications network.

  • Produce and deliver Information Dashboard and Reporting Services Service Design Packages.

Requirements

  • BS degree with 5-7 years of experience, MS with 3-5 years, or PhD with 0-2 years; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint metadata, application data fields, Active Directory, Exchange, and databases.
  • Understanding of physical and virtual infrastructure hosting various Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, Solaris, UNIX, and/or AIX systems.
  • Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE).

Nice-to-haves

  • ITIL Foundations certification desired.
