The Enterprise Software Application Developer II at Texas A&M University - San Antonio is responsible for performing advanced Enterprise Integration Developer work. This role involves planning, designing, and implementing major system integration processes, as well as creating documentation for these processes. The developer will serve as a key contributor to enterprise system integrations and other software development projects, leading technical process workshops to ensure effective collaboration and communication among teams. In this position, the developer will provide comprehensive planning, design, development, execution, testing, and implementation of integrations to meet project objectives. They will participate in and lead technical process workshops, collaborating with other technical teams or functional business process teams to create technical specifications and detailed software design documentation based on business requirements. The developer will utilize vendor development environments and toolsets to design and configure systems and reports, perform data mapping and conversion testing, and work both independently and as part of a team to implement major system integrations. The role also requires collaboration with project teams and users to ensure that software systems meet critical business requirements and standardize processes. The developer will keep the Technical Team Lead and team members informed of changes and project status, establish and develop timelines, and assist in developing solutions for user acceptance. Additionally, they will troubleshoot reported problems pertaining to application software, resolve or escalate issues, and develop technical patterns, techniques, and standards for the team while assisting junior team members in their use. The developer will also collaborate with change management teams on communications and training initiatives for successful adoption by stakeholders, participate in Data Architecture design, and perform enterprise application development and support for applications such as Banner, Argos, DegreeWorks, Automic, and other automation tools.
