About the position

The Enterprise Software Sales Executive at Rockwell Automation is responsible for providing senior-level sales expertise to achieve planned orders, revenue, and pipeline targets within the software product portfolio. This role involves closing enterprise contracts for software and contact solutions in the Mid-Market segment, following established sales processes, and supporting customers primarily in the Southeast United States. The position can be performed remotely from several states, including Ohio, Virginia, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sales strategies to meet revenue goals by growing accounts.
  • Prospect new opportunities through networking, cold calling, and lead generation techniques.
  • Manage the sales cycle, including lead qualification, demonstrations, quoting, and closing.
  • Use insight and consultative selling techniques to educate customers about their industry and link solutions to their business needs.
  • Research prospective organizations to identify key customer stakeholders.
  • Coach customer stakeholders on Plex's solutions within their organization.
  • Collaborate with Rockwell Automation sales team and colleagues to strategize on deal-level challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant years of sales experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five plus years of experience selling complex software solutions (SaaS).
  • Experience selling Enterprise software applications, including ERP, MES, Supply Chain, or PLM solutions into process manufacturers.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and functions.
  • Experience selling into Consumer-Packaged Goods companies, specifically food & beverage customers.
  • Ability to tailor communication to the customer's needs and deliver presentations to all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated experience using rational and emotional drivers to drive negotiation conversations.
