About the position

The Enterprise Solutions Architect at Axos Bank is a senior-level role responsible for guiding the execution of the software development roadmap in alignment with the Enterprise Technology Strategy. This position involves creating architectural approaches for design and implementation, establishing a robust architecture practice, and influencing the strategic direction of the bank's technology ecosystem. The architect will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable solutions that meet business objectives, focusing on modernizing hybrid banking systems and enhancing data processing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive the strategic design and modernization of hybrid banking systems.
• Create architectural approaches for architecture, design, and implementation.
• Establish standards, frameworks, and best practices for the architecture practice.
• Guide architectural governance and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.
• Manage technical debt and enhance real-time data processing capabilities.
• Oversee the migration and refactoring of legacy systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience designing and implementing technology solutions and architecture.
• Proven experience as an architect on large-scale software projects.
• Excellent knowledge of web applications, middleware, cloud delivery of microservices, REST APIs, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with programming languages including C#, Java, PHP, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and frameworks like React and Angular.
• Familiarity with UML, C4, and 4+1 architecture models.
• Experience in overseeing customized development processes for multiple projects simultaneously.
