About the position

Erias Ventures is seeking experienced engineers to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. The role involves managing IT system infrastructure, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, and ensuring the smooth operation of various client/server/storage/network devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a current Top-Secret/SCI security clearance, with a focus on innovative solutions to complex mission problems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
  • Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
  • Provide Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Support the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years' experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • In-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
