About the position

The Enterprise System Architect / Database Developer at MLT will support the Joint Requirements Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JRO-CBRND) by designing and implementing architecture development efforts for managing CBRN threats. This role requires technical expertise in database design, implementation, and maintenance, as well as knowledge of DoD policies and principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement architecture development efforts for CBRN threat management.
• Provide technical expertise in creating, updating, and maintaining architecture data related to DoDAF and JCIDS.
• Evaluate problems with databases and provide solutions related to DoD core Architecture Data Model and JCIDS.
• Develop DoDAF DIV-2 Logical Data Model and code for Microsoft's Access/SQL Server.
• Serve as a technical liaison regarding architecture design, database design, and software upgrades.
• Evaluate Integration Definition 1X (IDEF1X) data models as they relate to architecture products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least seven (7) years of CBRN defense or CWMD System Architecture-specific experience.
• Ten (10) years of general architecture experience.
• Five (5) years of experience producing military operational architectures.
• Three (3) years of experience with bio-surveillance operational and/or system architectures.
• Expertise with information systems, XML, relational databases, and relational data modeling using IDEF1X and ERwin Data Modeler software.
• Software development experience using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, Microsoft .NET, Java applications, and UML.
• Top Secret Clearance required.
