About the position

The Enterprise Systems Engineer at Veeam is a pivotal role that focuses on supporting the field sales department by educating and influencing end-users, resellers, and alliance partners about Veeam's data protection and recovery solutions. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen, as the engineer will conduct presentations, manage proof of concepts (POCs), and collaborate with customers to translate their business objectives into technical requirements. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, and have a background in data protection technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct live and virtual customer meetings, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Implement and manage POCs to technical closure.
  • Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, and user groups.
  • Collaborate with the customer/partner to establish and translate business objectives into technical requirements.
  • Independently consult with the customer base to provide technical expertise on data protection.
  • Work closely with Product Management to provide customer feedback.
  • Provide pre-sales support to customers as they evaluate Veeam software.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with data protection technologies (Veeam or other solutions).
  • Industry-based experience in storage, networking, and virtualization.
  • Experience in data life-cycle management with IT audit requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to present to large groups.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated solution sales and/or technical presales experience is a PLUS.
  • Experience with cloud or SaaS solutions is a PLUS.
