The Enterprise Systems Support Analyst (BUS SYS ANL 3) at the University of California, Davis, plays a crucial role in managing diverse assignments that include report development, performance metrics analysis, and the evaluation and enhancement of business processes. Under general supervision, the analyst will independently handle tasks such as developing new support practices, providing information and customer support to end users and analysts, and creating documentation and communication for new features and releases. Additionally, the role involves Tier 1 system access management, collaborating with the Admin IT Enterprise Systems Support team to optimize daily business operations. The analyst will recommend methods and procedures to achieve departmental goals and fulfill additional responsibilities as required to support the Finance, Operations & Administration (FOA) mission. A significant part of the role includes investigating and resolving incidents related to payroll data discrepancies. The analyst will utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Serving as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for UCPath General Ledger issues, the analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting. The position also requires analyzing business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, recommending enhancements to streamline operations and mitigate future issues. Regular examination of user-to-role membership reports, logs, and tickets is necessary to ensure accuracy, proper approvals/authorizations, and consistency of user entitlements. The analyst must maintain awareness of current policies, standards, and practices necessary for effective security and risk management for supported applications and services. Training and support for end-users on systems and processes related to payroll data and UCPath General Ledger are also key responsibilities of this position.
