As a Workplace Technology Engineer specializing in Audio Visual (AV) systems, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients have access to the right technology to solve their most pressing challenges. This position involves planning, designing, and implementing the architectural vision for Infrastructure that supports the firm, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues related to AV technology in various meeting spaces. In this managerial role, you will lead a team of problem solvers, helping to address complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will be expected to develop existing and new skills, coach team members, and foster an environment of collaboration and trust. Your responsibilities will include analyzing complex proposals, building consensus among diverse stakeholders, and ensuring that the work produced meets the high standards expected by both the firm and its clients. You will also be responsible for maintaining the firm's code of ethics and business conduct while driving the growth of our business through effective technology solutions. As part of the US Technology team, you will be at the forefront of driving innovative technology solutions that enhance the client experience and improve operational efficiency. Your expertise in AV technology will be essential in supporting end users, managing AV operations, and ensuring that all technology is functioning optimally to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT/AV operations and ensure quality control and compliance.
  • Provide onsite AV technical support and troubleshoot issues for end users.
  • Assist users in connecting to meetings using various platforms such as MS Teams, Webex, Google, or Zoom.
  • Set up and test meeting spaces in advance to prevent technical issues during large meetings.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Enterprise AV systems including Crestron Control, Extron, Biamp Tesira, and Cisco Video Conferencing.
  • Organize with vendors and tech teams to resolve office technology issues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Provide input on office technology design and support models based on end user feedback.
  • Independently identify and troubleshoot issues related to AV solutions and network performance.
  • Monitor system availability and performance, proactively resolving issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience managing IT/AV operations and quality control.
  • 2 years of onsite AV technical support experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of AV collaboration technologies and network design.
  • Experience with ticket management systems for tracking technology issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Digital Signage functionality.
  • Familiarity with collaboration products like Google, MS Surface Hubs, and Cisco Room Systems.
  • Ability to analyze schematics, diagrams, and floor plans related to AV technology.
  • Empathy and strong communication skills to de-escalate user issues.
