About the position

The Salesforce System Analyst will provide techno-functional leadership for enterprise-scale business transformation projects within Varian's Service organizations. This role focuses on capturing and documenting business requirements, designing and building applications on the Salesforce platform, and supporting the Service organization with Salesforce service and Field Service Lightning expertise. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and manage projects using agile or waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Capture, document, and verify business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Design and build applications based on business requirements on the Salesforce platform.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on Salesforce service and Field Service Lightning.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members to implement solutions using Apex Language, Classes, Workflow, Triggers/Controllers, Lightning Web Components, and Visual Force Pages.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects using either waterfall or agile scrum methodologies.
  • Work closely with business support teams to analyze business processes.
  • Support the design, build, testing, and deployment of applications on the Salesforce platform.
  • Manage the software testing process, including devising test plans and creating test cases.
  • Keep abreast of new Salesforce features and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Inform application users about system functionality and enhancements.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of strong technical knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification and Developer certification required; Salesforce Service Cloud certification preferred.
  • Hands-on expertise with developing complex web applications on Salesforce using Apex, LWC, SOQL, and Visualforce technologies.
  • Ability to integrate Salesforce with third-party systems using Dell Boomi/Snap Logic middleware.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of Service operations, including Call Center, Dispatching, Field Service, Spare Parts Management, Installation, and Training & Education.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

Nice-to-haves

  • Exposure to SAP ERP application, especially in the Service Management area.
  • Experience or exposure to the healthcare domain.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and scrum practices.
