About the position

The Entertainment Art Teacher position at Villa Del Rey Elementary is designed to provide comprehensive support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher responsible for supervising students in the classroom and other assigned areas. The role involves developing lesson plans and delivering both group and individual instruction within established curriculum guidelines. The teacher will collaborate with other educators, professional staff, and administrators to address instructional and classroom issues, while also responding to inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding the instructional program and student progress. In this role, the teacher will design instruction tailored to diverse learning styles and needs, ensuring that all students are engaged and participating in their learning objectives. The teacher will also develop and guide learning in partnership with students, setting classroom missions and learning goals, and recognizing student achievements. Evaluating individual and class performance through assessment data will be crucial for adjusting instruction to enhance student outcomes. The teacher will implement best practices in instruction and maintain necessary documentation and reports to comply with various regulations. Classroom management is a key responsibility, as the teacher will establish a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment that supports students in achieving their goals. The teacher will model positive behaviors and oversee assistant teachers, student teachers, and volunteers to ensure an effective classroom structure. Participation in meetings and responding to emergency situations are also essential functions of this role. Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Current Louisiana teacher certification.
• Proficiency in general computer use and job-specific software and applications.
