About the position
The Wardrobe Technician position at Kings Dominion involves creating and maintaining specialty costumes for shows and holiday events. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and appearance of costumes used in various performances, contributing to the overall guest experience in a fun and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Costume Area Supervisor to ensure the quality of themed entertainment and stage productions.
- Assist in all costume-related aspects of haunted attractions and productions including design, construction, and maintenance.
- Prepare costumes for shows, including stage shows, street performers, musicians, and characters, while maintaining costume appearance and continuity.
- Assist show participants with fast dress changes during performances.
- Clean performers' costumes after shows, prepare them for laundry, and use washer and dryer as directed.
- Maintain the inventory supply of the costume shop.
Requirements
- Previous experience creating costumes or a desire to grow sewing skills.
- Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Good judgment and commitment to safety.
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
