Entertainment Manager

About the position

The Entertainment Manager at Great Wolf Lodge is responsible for creating an engaging and exciting atmosphere for guests through various entertainment activities, experiences, and seasonal events. This role involves overseeing the entertainment team, ensuring high-quality guest interactions, and managing personnel-related matters. The manager will also participate in corporate projects and community appearances, embodying the lodge's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Act as the 'Host/Face of the lodge' by being visible around the lodge and at events.
• Provide training and coaching for staff to engage and entertain guests.
• Evaluate guest flow and recommend improvements to operating hours and activity schedules.
• Participate in corporate projects related to entertainment and training tools.
• Manage personnel matters including recruitment, performance management, and training.
• Execute duties as part of the Manager-On-Duty (MOD) program.
• Serve as backup to the Guest Service Manager as needed.
• Ensure all branded experiences are performed consistently according to Family Tradition procedures.
• Oversee all aspects of Character Appearances and Entertainment at the property.
• Support community appearances including sponsors, charities, and media events.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Prior experience working with children.
• Event planning knowledge.
• Professional entertainment background and/or production experience.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Proven customer service and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts, Theater, Business, or a related field.
• Previous experience in Entertainment, Hospitality, or Education.
• Charismatic and enthusiastic attitude.
